Bo Astrup, Technology Visionary, Speaker

Bo Astrup is a technology visionary and evangelist. Prior to moving to the US in early 2005 he held a position as Chief Technical Officer for a holding company in the media/advertising and software development industry over-seeing portfolio companies in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium and USA. In this position he has helped develop new companies and services and also worked with outside clients such as EU agencies and the CIA on how to use technology.

Being an expert in publishing technologies and workflows, Bo has spoken at several international events in Europe and North America on future technologies. Since 2002 Bo has been on the Board of Directors of the International Graphic Users Association.

Before moving to his CTO position Bo recorded and produced records and has one best pop record of the year, one gold and one platinum record to his credits. He also worked as film/video editor and has worked with internationally recognized Danish cinematographer Mikael Salomon and director Lars von Trier.

Working for Danish national television station TV2 Bo project-managed the launch and introduction of television commercials in Denmark.

After moving to the USA Bo has been consulting in the ad specialties industry and has spoken at the PPAI  show in Las Vegas 2007. He's done consulting work for the printing industry.

Currently Bo is focusing on recording internet-based talk-shows, Pod Casts/Videoblogs and consulting on development of marketing strategies for on-line radio-stations.
