Topics: Asset Protection, Crime Prevention, Identity
Theft, Just in time for the Holidays
Is it safe to give your credit card to a waiter? Is it risky to drop your
mail in the corner mailbox? How can you tell a real form on the Web from a
phony one planted by “phishers” who want to steal your personal info?
Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in America - 27.3 million
victims in the last five years - and if you're the target, it can take up
to 600 hours and $1500 to restore your good name, according to the Federal
Trade Commission. Why wait until it's too late?
-
In her practical talk filled with inside stories from police detectives
and FBI agents and tailored to your group's needs, Linda Lindemann
reveals the latest scams and gives you 14 ways to protect yourself now.
“One ID thief even had plastic surgery so that she looked like her
victim,” says Lindemann, whose eye-opening presentation puts you in the
know and reduces the risk of this crime happening to you.
-
And if it does? Lindemann outlines your options, shows what to do, and
points you toward resources you'll need to repair the damage. She shows
how to avoid filling out endless forms, complaints and reports as you
repair your credit and restore your identity - not to mention convincing
people you do business with that you're really you.
-
Audiences leave her dynamic presentation knowing how to protect
themselves from the theft of their DMV, Social Security, Credit, MIB
(Medical Information Bureau) and character or criminal identity (someone
goes to jail and gives your name). When you hear Lindemann speak, you'll
gain peace of mind and the confidence that comes from knowing how to
take simple steps now to protect your good name.
