Shirley is one of the Founding Directors of the For You Network™, Founding Director of the Corona Connection and serves as the Membership Officer on the EST. She also is host of the Lunch For Success Tele-Networking Call the 2nd Tuesday of each month at noon pst.
Shirley also hosts the Blog Talk Radio For You the first Monday of each month at 9 pm pst. Her theme for this Blog Talk For You segment is A Happier, Healthier You. Shirley invites guest speakers to share with listeners on topics related to women's health and nutrition.
Shirley holds an AA degree in journalism from Riverside Community College, a bachelors in public relations from Cal State Fullerton and a masters in theology from Loyola New Orleans. For the past 45 years, Shirley has ministered to people of Queen of Angels, her church community: leading programs, teaching classes, leading Bible Studies and serving on Committees. Serving God is her Number 1 priority and she believes her purpose is to bring honor and glory to God in all she does.
Shirley enjoys supporting and mentoring women. She is the recipient of the 2009 President's Call to Service Award. This award was presented for volunteering more than 2,000 hours of service to the community.
As an independent associate with Mannatech, Shirley shares how people can be healthier and live a better quality of life using glyconutritionals. Mannatech is a leading international research and development company and was the company that coined the phrase "glyconutritionals." She explains "God has given us a body that can heal itself when it is given the proper nutritients." Shirley knows from experience, she is a 15 year cancer survivor.
In her spare time she keeps scrapbooks and history books for her family. Nieces and nephews as well as grandchildren head straight to the shelf with their book each time they visit the Kerr home checking to see what has been added.
Shirley loves to travel. Shirley has been to Japan, Germany, France, Italy and Alaska. Since her husband’s (Vincent) retirement, the couple has begun a mission to visit every state in the United States.
The couple have four grandchildren, two teenagers who keep her hopping in Riverside and two young ones in Arizona that she visits or brings to Riverside as often as possible. The grandchildren love it when grandma loads them all up in the car and takes them on a weekend or week-long trip. She and the older grandchildren have visited all the missions in California as well as Orlando, Florida and Washington DC. Shirley is learning all about Arizona which she is exploring with the younger grandchildren there.
